Night City
The biggest challenge for any watercolorist is the night landscape. It's impossible to add light to it later. The light has to be on paper from the very beginning. Or… does it?
What techniques and tools should you use? How to build a project correctly to create and preserve light?

List of materials:
Paper: 100% cotton 300 gsm (140 pounds) Rough (Torchon) paper from Saunders, Arches, or Fabriano Artistico, size around 11 x 15 inches or 22 x 15 inches.
Brush:
Round paintbrush (or mop), squirrel, goat or equivalent (approximately #12). Chinese calligraphy brush (available in our online store) is highly recommended.
Strong hair flat brush, goat or synthetic. I will use 7-Line Flat goat brush (available in our online store). These brushes (5 or 7 lines) are highly recommended. Soft squirrel brushes are not recommended.
Paint:
I highly recommend Daniel Smith watercolor in tubes. In case of impossibility, you can use any other professional brand. Small sets for travel are NOT recommended.
For this course we need:
Moonglow
Quinacridone Sienna
Quinacridone Deep Gold
French Ultramarine
Phthalo Blue (GS)
Perylene Violet
Cobalt Blue
Indigo
Masking tape, any board to stretch paper on, and paper towels.
